Recap: Skyridge Falcons vs. Lone Peak Knights

After losing to the Lone Peak Knights the last time they met, the Skyridge Falcons decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Skyridge walked away with a 56-49 win over Lone Peak on Tuesday.

It was another big night for Jordan Kohler, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Skyridge's points. Another player making a difference was Tate Larson, who scored 14 points.

Lone Peak's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chamberlain Burgess, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and six blocks. Burgess is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomsen Kramer, who scored 16 points.

Skyridge's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Lone Peak, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skyridge will square off against Lehi at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lehi knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Skyridge likes a good challenge. As for Lone Peak, they will head out on the road to take on American Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Lone Peak is ranked 16th, while American Fork is ranked ninth).
