Volleyball Recap: Escambia County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Escambia County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Excel Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Escambia County started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-4, 25-10, 25-14.

Kensley Rowell was a one-woman wrecking crew For Excel. as she had 11 assists and eight aces. That's the most assists Rowell has posted over her last six contests.

Escambia County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Excel, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Looking ahead, Escambia County will host W.S. Neal at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Excel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
