Football Preview: Corry Beavers vs. North East Grape Pickers
The Corry Beavers will head out to square off against the North East Grape Pickers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Corry will be strutting in after a win while North East will be coming in after a defeat.
Corry will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Mercyhurst Prep, who they hadn't topped in four consecutive meetings. Corry came out on top against Mercyhurst Prep by a score of 28-21 on Friday.
Nolan Carey was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 144 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 86 yards. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023.

Despite the loss, North East saw an underclassman step up: Ethen Ringer rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown.
Even though they lost, North East was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.
North East wouldn't let Titusville keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Logan Latimore was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.
Corry's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for North East, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
