The Whitewater Whippets will face off against the Palmyra-Eagle Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Whitewater is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Whitewater came up short against Jefferson and fell 6-1. The Whippets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whitewater saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Schilt, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Palmyra-Eagle came into Thursday's contest having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Parkview on Thursday, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since May 27, 2025.

Whitewater's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Palmyra-Eagle, their victory bumped their record up to 3-13.

Whitewater skirted past Palmyra-Eagle 10-8 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Whippets repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
