Volleyball Recap: Dover Takes a Loss

Dover lost against Paris back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-11.

Despite the loss, Dover still got an impressive performance from Early Jackson, who had 11 digs and one assist. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Kaylee Culwell also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Paris, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Dover will face off against rival Mayflower at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Paris is set to challenge their familiar foe Lamar at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
