On Friday Newberry's undefeated season almost came to an end. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Silver Bluff 22-19. Those 22 points were actually the fewest Newberry has put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Newberry's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Silver Bluff, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Newberry will square off against rival Fox Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Silver Bluff is set to challenge their familiar foe Keenan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
