Volleyball Recap: West Clermont Wolves vs. Lebanon Warriors
West Clermont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Lebanon Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 10th.
West Clermont was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-15.
Trent Cottrell paced West Clermont's offense, picking up seven kills. Cottrell got some help from Jordan Michael Pack and his 11 assists. Isaac Brosch controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Lebanon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braydon Crockett out in front who had 13 digs and two aces. Crockett has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 15 times he's played.
West Clermont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Lebanon, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.
West Clermont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Milford on the 29th. As for Lebanon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Anderson on the 29th.
