Volleyball Recap: Stella High Charter Academy Comes Up Short

Stella High Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Animo South Los Angeles Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Stella High Charter Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-11, 25-22.

Stella High Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Animo South Los Angeles, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-10.

After both having extra time off, Stella High Charter Academy and Middle College will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Animo South Los Angeles, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Los Angeles Leadership Academy on the 10th.
