Basketball Recap: Benjamin Logan Takes a Loss

Benjamin Logan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northwestern Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-44 back in December of 2024.

Northwestern found their leader in freshman Lilly Bushey, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. Evelyn Errett was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Benjamin Logan's record now sits at 1-14. As for Northwestern, the victory snapped their losing streak at ten games and leaves them with a 2-13 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benjamin Logan has already played their next matchup (against West Jefferson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Northwestern will square off against Kenton Ridge at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering Northwestern has lost four straight at home and Kenton Ridge three straight on the road , this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
