Softball Recap: Boyertown Takes a Loss

Boyertown fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Wilson on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 7-6. The Bears' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Boyertown saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyra Neiswender, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base was Neiswender's first of the season. Hailey Schildt was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Boyertown's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Wilson, their record now sits at 13-9.

Looking ahead, Boyertown will square off against Spring-Ford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Wilson, they will challenge Brooks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
