Football Recap: North Raleigh Christian Academy Drops Season-High Score on Metrolina Christian Academy + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Raleigh Christian Academy). They walked away with a 35-28 win over the Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors on Friday. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 27-7 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

North Raleigh Christian Academy had a senior duo take command as Cooper Herakovich threw for 143 yards and two TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes and Davin McCoy gained 161 total yards and two touchdowns. McCoy didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made 11 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

North Raleigh Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brady Powell, Nick Sary, and Graycen Jones picked up one apiece. Powell is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

Although Metrolina Christian Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Micah Crenshaw, Jaxon Williams, Isaiah Mayes, and Matthew Burch.

North Raleigh Christian Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Raleigh Christian Academy will challenge Harrells Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Crusaders have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Charlotte Country Day School at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th.
