Baseball Recap: Wallington Takes a Loss

If Wallington was feeling good fresh off their 17-6 takedown of Manchester Regional last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers lost 13-3 to the Ridgefield Memorial Royals on Thursday. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Royals from their previous meeting back in March of 2016.

Alex Syby was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Wallington's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Ridgefield Memorial, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wallington will take on Saddle Brook at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Ridgefield Memorial, they will square off against Ridgefield Park at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
