Soccer Recap: Molina Takes a Loss

Molina came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the White Longhorns, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 545th, while the Longhorns are ranked 29th).

Molina's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for White, their victory bumped their record up to 12-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Molina will venture away from home to take on Adamson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Molina has given up an average of 2.9 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for White, they will square off against Sunset at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunset's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
