Softball Recap: Oak Mountain Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Oak Mountain entered their tilt with Athens on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 6-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2025.

Oak Mountain got a great performance from Maddie Prevallet as she tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hallie Kelly, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rylie Redden, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Oak Mountain hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive contests.

Oak Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Athens, they moved to 10-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Oak Mountain will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Golden Eagles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
