Basketball Recap: Willingboro Comes Up Short

If Willingboro was feeling good fresh off their 47-27 takedown of Burlington Township last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Willingboro Chimeras came up short against the Clayton Clippers on Friday, falling 49-28. The loss was the Chimeras' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Willingboro fell to 2-1. As for Clayton, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Willingboro will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Maple Shade at 4:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Clayton, they will look to defend their home court on January 3, 2025 against Pitman at 5:30 p.m.
