Baseball Game Preview: Concord Bears vs. Mt. Diablo Red Devils

Concord is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Mt. Diablo a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Concord Bears will host the Mt. Diablo Red Devils at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Concord and Miramonte had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bears came up short against the Matadors on Thursday, falling 9-1.

Concord saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Tougeron, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Tony Hoshida also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Mt. Diablo fell victim to Northgate and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 27-0 to the Broncos.

Mt. Diablo's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Concord, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.
