Softball Game Preview: Gateway Eagles vs. East Lee County Jaguars

The Gateway Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the East Lee County Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, everything went Gateway's way against East Lee County as Gateway made off with a 17-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won five in a row.

Gateway got a big performance out of Caitlin Gardner, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Zarhia Charles, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Gateway always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .808. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

East Lee County is on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Gateway, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
