Volleyball Recap: Lincoln County Takes a Loss

Lincoln County lost against Riverside back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Lincoln County started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 16-25, 25-14, 26-24, 15-12.

Bella Dingess paced Lincoln County's offense, picking up 14 kills. Dingess got some help from Jillian Starcher and her 26 assists. Starcher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 13 aces.

Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 5-22-1. As for Riverside, their victory bumped their record up to 10-17.

Looking ahead, Lincoln County will be playing in front of their home fans against Ignite Athletics at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverside, they will venture away from home to challenge Sherman at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
