Softball Recap: Newark Tech Comes Up Short

If Newark Tech was riding high fresh off their 18-3 takedown of East Orange Campus on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Terries took a 17-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Irvington Blue Knights on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-12 on Monday.

Newark Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Irvington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Newark Tech will venture away from home to take on Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Irvington, they will welcome Arts at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Blue Knights' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Jaguars have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
