Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hazelwood West). They put the hurt on the Parkway North Vikings with a sharp 16-2 victory on Monday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Billy Jackson, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Hazelwood West: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Alex Douglas was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Hazelwood West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parkway North only posted an OBP of .316.

The victory got Hazelwood West back to even at 6-6. As for Parkway North, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
