Preview: Klein Forest Eagles vs. Waller Bulldogs
Klein Forest is 3-0 against Waller since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Klein Forest Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Waller Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Klein Forest and 12 for Waller.
Klein Forest pushed their score all the way to 65 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Klein Oak by a score of 68-65. Klein Forest has not had much luck with Klein Oak recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Waller pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 64-57 to Tomball Memorial. While losing is never fun, Waller can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 942nd, while Tomball Memorial is ranked 156th).
Klein Forest has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season. As for Waller, their loss was their 24th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-28.
Klein Forest beat Waller 47-38 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Klein Forest repeat their success, or does Waller have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
