Basketball Game Preview: Lakota Tech Tatanka vs. Dakota Valley Panthers

Lakota Tech hasn't had much luck against Dakota Valley recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Lakota Tech Tatanka will take on the Dakota Valley Panthers at 4:30 p.m.

Lakota Tech is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They took a 59-45 bruising from Mobridge-Pollock.

Rob Left Hand Bull put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 5 for 9 on his way to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Davonte Ross, who posted six points.

Meanwhile, Dakota Valley put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Winner 63-47.

Dakota Valley pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.2 points per game. As for Lakota Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Lakota Tech took a serious blow against Dakota Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 85-47. Thankfully for Lakota Tech, Jaxson Wingert (who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
