Baseball Recap: Obion County Comes Up Short

Obion County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Trinity Christian Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Rebels fell just short of the Lions by a score of 9-7 on Friday. The Rebels have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Brody Smith made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Braden Eason was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.

Obion County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15-1. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Obion County will host Dyer County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will take on Tipton-Rosemark Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
