Silverado has gone a perfect 6-0 against Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. Silverado has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 17.

Silverado is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Green Valley, who was ranked 13th at the time (Silverado was ranked 25th). The Skyhawks fell 3-1 to the Gators on Monday.

Silverado was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Green Valley work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-15, 18-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Valley came into Monday's match having lost 11 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Del Sol 3-2.

Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 16-25, 25-18, 27-25, 15-4.

Silverado's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Valley, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-19.

Silverado took their victory against Valley in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Skyhawks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
