Madonna has gone a perfect 4-0 against East Liverpool recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Blue Dons will head out on the road to face off against the Potters at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Madonna has 14 straight wins, East Liverpool has 16 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Madonna is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 23-6 margin over Trinity Christian on Wednesday. The Blue Dons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Peyton Conley made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Madi Owens was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and seven RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3.1 RBI per game. Another player making a difference was Chloe Orecchio, who scored five runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Madonna always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity Christian only posted an OBP of .417.
Meanwhile, East Liverpool fell victim to Harrison Central and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Huskies, falling 13-0.
Madonna pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for East Liverpool, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16.
East Liverpool's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Madonna hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .387. It's a different story for East Liverpool, though, as they've only averaged .254. Will they be able to contain Madonna's hitters?
Everything went Madonna's way against East Liverpool in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Madonna made off with a 10-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Dons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
