Basketball Game Preview: Analy Tigers vs. Piner Prospectors

Analy hasn't had much luck against Piner recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Analy Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Piner Prospectors at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Analy beat Armijo 52-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Piner earned a 64-53 victory over Sonoma Valley on Tuesday.

Piner's win came from a few key players Analy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brendan Walker, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Apollo Pereira, who posted 19 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Piner now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Analy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-5.

Analy came up short against Piner in their previous matchup back in January, falling 58-51. Can Analy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
