Baseball Recap: Columbus' Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against AGWSR, Columbus was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels by a score of 12-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Sailors considering their two-run performance the match before.

With the victory, Columbus broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-9-1. As for Gladbrook-Reinbeck, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Columbus will venture away from home to face off against Denver at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gladbrook-Reinbeck, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Highland on the 7th.
