W.S. Neal waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over the Escambia County Blue Devils. Considering the Eagles have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Eli Stone, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jarrod Crook, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple.

W.S. Neal hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Escambia County struck out eight times.

W.S. Neal's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Escambia County, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
