Basketball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 56-47 defeat to the Temple Christian Pioneers. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by exactly nine points.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Temple Christian, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will face off against Covington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Temple Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgedale at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
