Basketball Recap: Bowdon Comes Up Short

Bowdon lost against Trion two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bowdon Red Devils took a 60-43 bruising from the Trion Bulldogs. The game marked the Red Devils' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Bowdon still got an impressive performance from Kaiden Prothro, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Prothro is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Zayland Allen, who went 6 for 11 to rack up 13 points.

Bowdon's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Trion, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

Bowdon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-49 defeat against Mt. Zion on the 8th. As for Trion, they have also already played their next game, a 57-36 win against Elite Scholars Academy on the 7th.
