Basketball Recap: Miller Grove Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Miller Grove had to endure an 11-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 56-51 W over the Union Hill Bulldogs on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Union Hill still got an impressive performance from EJ Mowery, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 13 boards. The match was Mowery's sixth in a row with at least ten points.

Miller Grove's victory bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Union Hill, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miller Grove will finish 2024 at home by hosting Wolfe City at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th. As for Union Hill, they will host Christian Heritage at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th.
