Basketball Recap: Sierra Lutheran Comes Up Short

Sierra Lutheran lost against Yerington back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sierra Lutheran Falcons took a hard 36-17 fall against the Yerington Lions. The Falcons were down 32-11 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Yerington found their leader in sophomore Laney Triplett, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine steals. That's the most steals Triplett has posted since back in February of 2024. Jadynn Ramsey was another key player, putting up a point along with ten rebounds and three steals.

Sierra Lutheran dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Yerington, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Incline the next time they take the court. Sierra Lutheran will host Incline at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Yerington will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
