Basketball Recap: Laker's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Laker entered their tilt with Vassar on Friday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 63-50 win over the Vassar Vulcans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-42 back in January.

Despite the loss, Vassar still got an impressive performance from Austin Long, who went 7-for-15 en route to 23 points and five assists. Long continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trevor Gleeson, who posted ten points.

Laker pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points over those games. As for Vassar, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Laker will host Bad Axe at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Laker's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. Vassar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
