Volleyball Recap: Madeline Chen and Aubree Fernandez Secure Win for Wakeland

Wakeland picked up another tournament win on Friday. They came out on top against the Odessa Bronchos by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Leading Wakeland to victory were Aubree Fernandez and Madeline Chen. Fernandez had seven digs and two aces, while Chen had seven digs and two assists. Those two assists gave Chen a new career-high. Abby Parkinson also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Wakeland's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Odessa, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

Wakeland has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Reedy on the 22nd. As for Odessa, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Coronado on the 22nd.
