Basketball Recap: Ysamar Pimentel Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat George Jenkins

North Broward Prep saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the George Jenkins Eagles by a score of 49-39. The win made it back-to-back victories for North Broward Prep.

North Broward Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ysamar Pimentel led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Pimentel is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Makena Longo was another key player, going 5 for 12 on her way to 15 points.

Despite the loss, George Jenkins still got an impressive performance from Taylor Gibson, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 14 points. Zakharia Rutledge was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

North Broward Prep's record now sits at 7-5. As for George Jenkins, they dropped their record down to 6-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

North Broward Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-46 win against The Rock on the 23rd. As for George Jenkins, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-44 defeat against NSU University on the 23rd.
