Gateway put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They had just enough and edged the Osceola Kowboys out 3-2. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Kowboys are ranked 175th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gateway hit Osceola with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Luis Moreno, Thiago Dumont, and Augusto Bustamante.

Gateway pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four contests. As for Osceola, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gateway will take on Liberty in a tournament on Monday. Gateway is facing Liberty at the right time seeing as Liberty is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Osceola, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tohopekaliga at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
