The Tombstone Yellow Jackets will venture away from home to face off against the Bisbee Pumas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Tombstone's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Santa Rita. The win continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

Miguel Rincon and Vlad Velasquez made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Rincon tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Velasquez struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). What's more, Rincon posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. At bat, Rincon scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Velasquez scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sasha Webster, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Trey Franklin, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.
Tombstone always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Rita only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Bisbee waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They blew past the Lightning 13-2.
Bisbee got a massive performance out of Sebastian Lopez, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Lopez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Montiel, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.
Bisbee pushed their record up to 19-3 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Tombstone, their record is now 16-6-1.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tombstone hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .373. However, it's not like Bisbee struggles in that department as they've averaged .442. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
