Preview: South Forsyth War Eagles vs. Lassiter Trojans
The South Forsyth War Eagles and the Lassiter Trojans will face off at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
South Forsyth had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three last Saturday. They blew past Whitefield Academy 70-50.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, a fact Lassiter proved last Saturday. They walked away with a 49-42 victory over Walker.
Lassiter had a senior duo take command as Jaden Emmanuelli scored 16 points and Kyhir Torrence scored 13 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Emmanuelli scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Venuti, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
The win got South Forsyth back to even at 6-6. As for Lassiter, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
