Basketball Game Preview: Westwood Panthers vs. Buffalo Bison

The Westwood Panthers will head out to challenge the Buffalo Bison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Westwood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Westwood is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Mexia just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 74-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Black Cats.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Buffalo, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They strolled past Teague with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 64-46.

Buffalo's win bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Westwood, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Everything came up roses for Westwood against Buffalo in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 76-39 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westwood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
