Softball Recap: Cienega Wins Going Away Against Mica Mountain

Cienega had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 10-4 margin over the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts on Wednesday.

Micaela Valenzuela was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophia Butt, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.

Cienega didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-3 victory against Tombstone on the 26th. As for Mica Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 12-4 loss against Casa Grande on the 26th.
