Softball Recap: Elkhorn Triumphs

The Elkhorn Elks beat the Waunakee Warriors 9-6 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Elks.

The team relied heavily on Ella Uhlenhake, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Ellie Jacobson was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

Elkhorn's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Waunakee, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elkhorn will host Waterford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Waunakee, they will be playing at home against Oregon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
