Flag Football Game Preview: Carl Hayden Community Falcons vs. Fairfax Stampede

The Carl Hayden Community Falcons will head out to square off against the Fairfax Stampede at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carl Hayden Community's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Carl Hayden Community earned a 9-2 win over Maryvale.

One reason for the win was Carl Hayden Community's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 11 sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Nely Equihua and Seven Peoples, who racked up ten sacks between them.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 46 points the game before, Fairfax was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell 17-13 to Youngker.

Carl Hayden Community's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Fairfax, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Carl Hayden Community couldn't quite finish off Fairfax when the teams last played back in October of 2024 and fell 8-6. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
