Basketball Game Preview: Prairie Pirates vs. Potlatch Loggers

The Prairie Pirates will head out to face off against the Potlatch Loggers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Prairie came up short against Lapwai and fell 60-47. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Potlatch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kendrick. The matchup was a 29-29 toss-up at halftime, but the Loggers couldn't quite close it out.

Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Potlatch, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Prairie didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Potlatch when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 50-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Prairie since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
