Volleyball Recap: Merit Preparatory Academy Takes a Loss

Merit Preparatory Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the American Prep WV Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

While Merit Preparatory Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into American Prep WV's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-8, 25-10.

Merit Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for American Prep WV, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Merit Preparatory Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Vanguard Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, American Prep WV will take on rival Salt Lake Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
