Thornton Fractional South extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Lucia Terrazes. The Red Wolves came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Bloom Blazing Trojan with plenty of help from Terrazes, who had 13 assists and seven digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Thornton Fractional South got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 20-25, 25-16.

Thornton Fractional South's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Bloom, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Thornton Fractional South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Oak Lawn on the 11th. As for Bloom, they will be taking part in a tournament against Thornridge at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
