Volleyball Recap: Union Wildcats vs. Sullivan Eagles

Union extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 7-21-1. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sullivan Eagles. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Rilynn Wingenbach paced Union's offense, picking up 25 kills. Wingenbach got some help from Macy Tall and her 29 assists. Tall also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Morgan Sherwood, each putting up three.

As for Sullivan, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9-4 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since October 4th.

Andi Giebler was nothing short of spectacular: she had 19 digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last 14 matchups.

As of now, neither Union nor Sullivan have any future games scheduled.
