Preview: Carbon Dinos vs. Delta Rabbits

Carbon is 6-0 against Delta since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Carbon Dinos will look to defend their home court against the Delta Rabbits at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Carbon has eight straight wins, Delta has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Tuesday, Carbon strolled past Juab with points to spare, taking the game 60-46. Carbon pushed the score to 48-27 by the end of the third, a deficit Juab cut but never quite recovered from.

Carbon had a senior duo take command as Amiah Timothy scored 17 points along with seven assists and four steals and Madison Orth scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Orth is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kylan Sorenson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Delta suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Emery, falling 60-30. Delta has struggled against Emery recently, as their game on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Carbon pushed their record up to 14-4 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home. As for Delta, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Carbon against Delta in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 67-24 victory. With Carbon ahead 35-15 at the half, the game was all but over already.
