Dexter proved they can win big on Monday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Twin Rivers Royals. The Bearcats haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Justus Lovelady, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Houston Neely was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

Dexter's record now sits at 14-6. As for Twin Rivers, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.

Looking ahead, Dexter will take on Jackson in a tournament on Friday. As for Twin Rivers, they will head out to square off against Senath-Hornersville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
