Volleyball Recap: Aliyah Stewart's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northeast Lauderdale over Union

Northeast Lauderdale lost against Union on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Yellowjackets. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Northeast Lauderdale couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Union a tough time in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 31-29, 25-19.

Northeast Lauderdale's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aliyah Stewart, who had nine assists and five digs.

Northeast Lauderdale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Northeast Lauderdale will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Southeast Lauderdale at 7:00 p.m. As for Union, they will head out to take on West Lauderdale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
