Leander extended their postseason success on Friday against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial. They had just enough and edged out the Eagles 8-7. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Madelyn Huling was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Avery Barnard was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Leander was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 20-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Leander's record is now 28-9. As for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 29-4 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Leander beat the Eagles by a score of 6-2 on Saturday.
